WOW. That was the quickest week of my life. It's a great thing I took so many pictures. So much to talk about, I don't even know where to start. First things first.....If you have never seen a 135,000 ton cruise ship, it is one of the most incredible things you will ever see. It was like my entire home town on a giant raft......except the raft was awesome, and my hometown was really clean and filled with happy people. All of the Islands had something great to offer, it was just a matter of getting to the place that you wanted to be, that seemed to be our problem at first. Michelle and I have concluded that on Barbados, they do not have drivers training.....or even licenses for that matter. I will take full responsibility for the sheer frightening bus ride that unfolded that rainy first day in the West Indies.... Here's the situation... I was doing some online research before we left for our fate full adventure, and I came upon an article that mentioned the public transportation on the Islands, and how amazingly cheap it was to travel from coast to coast. Well.....there is a reason it is cheap. Because it's not really meant for tourists, but more for extremely "less fortunate"people to get to the nearest shack, or liquor store. And these people were in a massive hurry, as the bus would travel through small neighborhoods at HIGH rates of speed. Only beeping the horn now and then to warn pedestrians of a potential collision (very potential) . When we finally arrived at our suggested destination ( dripping with sweat and a smell that still lingers in my mind) , our nerves were shot, and we still couldn't get off the damned bus.........because the place we were headed was condemned:) Thanks......Denny...you jerk.
Anyway, this was the only unfortunate event of the trip, thankfully. I will return tomorrow with pictures and detailed descriptions of our other......more wonderful memories.
