What Happened to Summer?

We are all booked up till the end of summer! This weekend is Adam and Melanie's wedding. The next weekend we have Autumn and Brooke and have plans to spend some time at the cottage. We are also planning a trip to go camping in Harbor Springs, and going to Chicago to visit my long lost family......I wish they lived closer:( I feel so bad that I haven't been to see them since well before I was married. I believe I went to Chicago while Michelle and I were dating, so needless to say, we are very excited to be taking that trip and spending some time with the Chicago crew. We had planned on taking the train, but I think with all the "stuff" we cart around on overnights with Drew, we will be driving my car.

Adam had his Bachelor party this last weekend, and we had an absolute blast. Started our man-venture with a three hour paintball grudge-match on a few different courses. Then it was off to our cabin in the woods....a four- bedroom log cabin with flat panel TV and a fireplace, and all the fixin's. Sitting right on the Boardman river, we did some river sitting and had a camp-fire. I played the best Texas hold'em I have ever played...and lost a $140.00 pot at the end of it. Adam had a GREAT time...I think he was seen hugging a tree at some point in the wee hours of the morning, so that tells me that he was having some serious fun.

This weekend will not be relaxing in the least. Starting with a rehearsal dinner at our house on Friday night, and then off to the Lutheran Church on Saturday to do my duty as a grooms-man!! I can speak for everyone right now, there will be a sigh of relief when we hear the two of them reciting their vows.....Weddings can be a stressful and downright crazy sometimes but we have to remember that these two will be a family soon and that is worth much more than a few stressing moments. Drew is army crawling better than I ever did...We are constantly amazed by him, and the things he does. I will have some great video soon of Drew v. The Vacuum......just a little teaser to keep everyone coming back....I know I have been slacking.
