Happy Fourth of July!!!

One downfall to living in town.......I can't fire off the illegal bottle rockets and fire-crackers I have had since last year. I am working on the schematics for our diet coke and mentos presentation for the family reunion. I can't describe how excited I was to hear that was the task this year. I am a huge fan of Mythbusters. Good thing it wasn't the exploding pants myth.....that could be painful. Maybe next year we could try the helium balloons and lawn chair.

We are having a barbecue tomorrow, and really hoping for a nice day. Michelle is feeling much better nowadays. I am sure that work on the nursery will begin very soon, so if anyone has any tips or advice, I would love to hear it. Talking with Michelle about what type of theme to go with, she wants to do sports for a boy.....which sounds great, but where's the originality there? I suggested ninjas and pirates. Yeah.....that's not going over well:)

I convinced Michelle to go with me to see Live Free, Or Die Hard the other day, and I am proud to bring the first movie review to our blog. This movie is a must see for anyone who can appreciate crazy explosions and hilarious one-liners. What a fun movie to watch....it was much better than I had expected. Even Michelle got into it ( and she is not a big fan of machine gun spray), the whole next day she couldn't stop saying the trademark.....yippi-ki-ai..... I give the movie an A- ( only to leave room for something even more awesome)

We had a short conversation about baby names last night.......and I have come to the realization that naming our little bundle of joy is going to be no easy task........she told me last night she liked the name Tucker ( she will be mad at me for this) .......I don't think I need to tell anyone why this won't work.

Seriously though, we have very similar ideas for a name and I am sure it won't be too hard for us to lock a few down......I love you sweetheart;) We are both so excited to be parents and I am very lucky to find a woman who can make me laugh and be such a great friend.

I hope everyone has a wonderful 4th!!!

Hey! My mom just sent me the link to your blog. Most excellent. This is the lame-o cousin who never comes to weddings and always forgets to do a march madness bracket. Every family has to have one lame-o, and I am proud to bear the standard for the Steigers!!

Hey, I ran across your blog when I did a search for baby names. I just thought I would let you know about ANOTHER helpful tool for the process.

I work at Nymbler.com and it's one of the newest baby-naming sites on the web. Simply put in your favorite names and get inspirations based on name styles and popularity.

If you get the chance, check out www.nymbler.com and let me know what you think!

Happy 4th... Good luck with the whole name thing Olivia didn't have a name for over a day and Jorey didn't get his right away either! We had 2 picked out for Olivia and we waited until we saw her and got to know her alittle & Jorey we had but it was hard to put a name on a small person and think that will be his name forever! Really think it over what you think you want may change once you see her beautiful little face!
