Time Flies when you are Pregnant!!

So. It's been awhile. Lots to log tonight.

We had our second trip to the OB/GYN today, and it was very quick and to the point. Our little Succubus is doing wonderful as far as all the tests can tell at this stage. Once again, we were able to listen to the sound of the heart beat....at an astounding 150 or so beats per minute, it sounded somewhat to me as if our little one was doing some type of somersault/backflip in there. The noise would start to fade and then come back with a fearsome thumping of what sounded to me like water spraying at high speeds from a garden hose onto a pane-glass window, with another person continuing to turn the water off...then on....then off....over and again.

The most exciting news of the night, as it would be......we have another appointment on August 6th, for our ULTRASOUND! Ultra Sweet! Yeah baby!.....It's like Christmas in August;) Except if you don't like what you get, you can't return it...

The baby update is a little late this week due to yours-truly being completely bombarded at work. This is bound to have changed by the end of the week at least but for documentation purposes, our baby is now the size of a Grapefruit! Things are moving so quickly in the world of my wife's uterus......it is very amazing to me, to say the least.

On to non-baby happenings ( Not nearly exciting if you ask me)... The Final chapter in the Harry Potter Series is hot off the press, and as I am typing ,at this very moment.....Michelle is watching the heated debate about school closings in TC, but I assure you, that she is yearning to pick up her copy of Deathly Hallows and finish reading it. I am not making fun either....she has kind of re-sparked my interest in the series and although I have only read the first 3 books, I have seen all the movies and decided to start with the next book in order, The Half-Blood Prince. How addicting can you get...I can't put it down, and I find this very annoying, because I am a great fan of literature......and by that, I don't mean Maxim and Men's Health magazine. These books are written beautifully, and the situations are brought to life with descriptive and childhood invoking stories.

Michelle and I had a great weekend together. On Friday we headed down to Friday Night Live on Front Street, where there was an homage to Harry Potter. We saw a few friends and had some dinner ( I had a blues dog from House of Dogs.......fantastic). Saturday we spent the day at West Bay, taking in some sun and enjoying our quiet reading time. I felt bad this weekend that we didn't take Ranger with us to any of these great places....but do dogs really care whether you are at the lake, or just spraying him with hose? I don't think so. I could be wrong I guess. Sandy was just finishing up a few double shifts at The Haggarty Center, followed by what she said was 14 hours of strait sleep.....our what I would call, a coma. She brought sandwiches from Chef's Inn, and played a little Frisbee with us. The water was much warmer this time.

We enjoyed ourselves so much on Saturday, Michelle and I decided to go to North Bar in Empire, and spend the day there Sunday. And that was fantastic!!! The weather could not be any better, and the water was a bit colder than I like, but refreshing non the less.

Back into town around 4 , and off to meet Adam and Mel for BBQ at their place, and I believe I know exactly how to cook a brat now. You have to boil it in beer first.......AMAZING!! Thank you to Adam for that delicious recipe.....you better watch it man, first the beans.....then the brats, your becoming quite the chef......next thing you know, you'll be getting married.

After dinner we all drove to Weurfel Park to take in a Beach Bums game in our coordinated, blue, Child Services tee-shirts. From what I understand, a lot of money was raised for their organization. Being adopted, I am very aware of the need for what these people do. It is really a blessing.

They really should think about making some changes in their security policies at the Park though........It's too bad that they will just let any-body into that place.
