Weekend Rendezvous' (Is that Plural?)

Finally......I have waited my entire life to see the World's largest Christmas store! (you know, I am not serious...right).

Honestly though, Bronners Christmas store in Frankenmuth is one of the wonders of the free world. I had no idea.....really. The place is huge, I believe the flyer that we picked up said something like 7 football fields....awesome....but where the HECK are all the trains!!!! Get with the program Wally.

Michelle had a fantastic idea of taking me on a surprise weekend get-away for sweetest day. A holiday which I feel has absolutely no redeeming function other than to provide another day for men to forget about and get themselves into trouble......here is a great tip for ALL men. Just do something nice for your wife/girlfriend/life partner, every month. Just in case there is a special occasion in there somewhere. One unfortunate anomaly would be my situation, where my anniversary is 3 days after my wife's birthday...in the same month. At least I will never forget our anniversary:)

We had a great time in Frankenmuth, and the hotel was great. It over looked the river and had one of the best free breakfasts' I have ever tasted. I highly recommend it. I believe it was the Marv Herzog , on main st.

Michelle and I have been very busy lately. We(I) are now remodeling the bathroom downstairs. I am really going to have a good time working on that, it will be nice to have a change of scenery.....when you have such a small house, I think it's necessary to do these things often.

Next year we are going to start work on building an addition, which will be bittersweet for me....I really want to do it, but with a new born, it will be a matter of balance. If you have ever done any building, I think you know what I mean;)

Looking forward to watching some football today, and looking at Michelle's belly as my son moves all around like big fish in a little fishbowl. It is the coolest thing ever to be able to see him move and know what part of his body that was. At our last appointment on Friday, the mid-wife put my hand where his head was and I felt it for the first time....my baby's head. Amazing. He already seems to be developing a personality. I can't wait to touch him and see him in person.

Everything is going well with the pregnancy. Aside for some heartburn, frequent urination, back pain, carpal tunnel, exhaustion, and general all around discomfort. But don't worry about me, I'll be ok.

I am getting to be quite the fat-body lately. The fact that Michelle is eating for two, is very unfair to me......physically. I eat when she eats........and I am getting a small yet noticeable doughnut around my mid-section. I have been wondering if there is a support group for this?

One thing I forgot. Michelle took me to a Military and Space museum in Frankenmuth. It was incredible. They are dedicated to military men and women from Michigan, and they have the largest collection of medal's of honor in the entire world......26 of them. I was very impressed with how nice it was all put together. There is alot to read and I could have spent a day there. I found a guy who had the same British Jump wings that I had, it's very possible that we jumped together, being that it was something that only happened every 5-10 years, and we were in Fort Bragg at the same time........kind of cool.

Time to get outside.....It's a gorgeous 73 degrees!

GOOD LUCK LIONS!!!
