You hear parents of older children say " They grow up so fast" and " Time flies by when they are little". The reason you hear this from parents of older children, is because those kids are sleeping throught the night, and not causing their wife to stare at them in bed and hope that they are having a nightmare that causes them to fall and bust their head on something.
Seriously though......It really is going by too fast for me. I feel like every minute that I am not with Drew, I am missing out on something great. He is smiling A LOT now , and even laughing a little. It truly is amazing how fast he is changing. If adults changed this much every 6 weeks, I am pretty sure life as we know it would cease to be.........it would just be weird.
Michelle and I are taking Drew out of the house as much as we can ( this is beneficial to all of us, have you seen The Shining?) and our most recent exploration was the WinterFest. Although we didn't stay downtown for too awful long, we did taste all the soups at the SouperBowl and did a bit of walking down Front St. We also stopped in Toy Harbor....one of my favorite stores. All the while I got to carry Drew in the Baby Bjorn pack (which he loves to sleep in).
The weather has been terrible here and we are anxiously awaiting spring. It is going to be so much fun to get Drew out of the house in less than 2 layers and buried in a car seat.....I mean come on....have you seen how white he is, he needs some sun!!! The lack of light and the dark circles under our eyes are going to make Michelle and I look like cast members from The Night of the Living Dead......
I am getting a little better with the camera, and I have decided that I really enjoy making videos of Drew, so I will be doing more of that. It is amazing the things that we can document now, and I feel like we should take full advantage of it. I wouldn't mind seeing some video clips of myself breakdancing in the living-room when I was 7.....or Michelle getting the duece scared out of her by her sister wearing a ski-mask.That's landmark stuff!!
Oh, and Melissa......I am still not allowed to wear a ski-mask.......
